The Missouri School for the Blind is a state ran agency that consists of both a main campus that serves grades k-12 located in Saint Louis, and a state-wide outreach program. The outreach program includes in home training and support for parents with blind children ages birth-5, distribution of braille and accessible literary materials throughout the state, and training for visually impaired students in other school districts.

Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired

The Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired is an organization located in Kansas City that provides a variety of programs and services to the visually impaired youth of both Kansas and Missouri. Services on offer include an early intervention program, orientation and mobility training where youth can learn to navigate the sighted world in a safe simulation, and specially trained therapists.
