Minnesota State Services for the Blind

Minnesota State Services for the Blind is a government run agency that provides blind and visually impaired individuals of all ages a host of programs and services. These programs and services include adaptive aids and technology training for seniors, job training and career planning for visually impaired youth ages 14-21, and a communications center that transcribes print into audio, braille, and electronic print.

Vision Loss Resources is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides a variety of services and programs to blind and visually impaired individuals living in the Minneapolis-Saint Paul Area. These programs and services include the adjustment to blindness program where clients take classes in accessible technology, cooking, orientation and mobility, and daily living skills. Also on offer is a senior program where clients learn accessibility features on smartphones, skills on how to cook safely, and training for daily household activities and chores.
