California School for the Blind 

Located: 500 Walnut Ave, Fremont, CA 94536

The California School for the Blind offers students 6 to 21 or elementary through high school the chance to learn in an  environment suited to their needs through an Individualized Education Program or IEP. Students attend core classes like English, math and science as well as  more specialized classes like how to read and write Braille, how to use assistive technology, and how to travel using a cane.

Los Angeles Blind Children’s Center

Located: 4120 Marathon St, Los Angeles, CA 90029

The Los Angeles Blind Children’s Center serves blind or visually impaired kids from preschool to second grade. Their infant program is for kids birth to age 3 and helps teach them how to crawl, walk and over come a fear of loud noises.Their preschool program is for kids 3-5 years old and provides them with orientation and mobility training, sensory and physical development, as well as speech and language development. Their elementary program is for kids K-2nd grade and provides them with with skills like cane travel and literacy preparation.

Santa Ana Blind Children’s Learning Center

Located: 18542 Vanderlip Ave B, Santa Ana, CA 92705

The Santa Ana Blind Children’s Learning Center provides visually impaired youth with a variety of programs and services like their global infant development program which helps children learn to crawl and walk as well as therapy. Their bright visions learning center is for kids six months through second grade and helps prepare them for elementary school through sensory development and adaptive skills. They also have an outreach program for students K-12 where a teacher of the visually impaired travels to thier school and teaches them necessary skills like how to read and write Braille, as well as how to use assistive technology.
