Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind

The Columbia Lighthouse for the Blind is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has served those who are blind or visually impaired in the greater Washington area for over 100 years. Programs and services offered by the lighthouse include the foundations of adjustment to blindness which serves as the lighthouses flagship program that teaches the basics (orientation and mobility, accessible technology, and daily living skills) over the course of 5 days. The lighthouse also offers programs for youth and family, as well as support groups and assistance joining the workforce.
